Big image for main stories on HP City Council budget agreed
Nottingham City Council has approved the 2010/11 budget that sees an increase in investment of around £8m. A Council Tax increase of 2.9% has been agreed. The City Council is also introducing a Council Tax discount for people aged 65 and over.

The leader of Nottingham City Council, Councillor Jon Collins, is setting off on a 1000-mile charity bike ride today, March 9th, to raise the profile of the City at the world's biggest property investment show in Cannes.
